CAMP no 3 WITH JANOS KASZALA
Hi All,
just reminder, the summer camp will be start 29
September 5 pm off ice at the Hagley Park netball
courts with your rollerblade and full hockey gear.
Before
the first on ice practice ( 03. October) we will
meeting at the coffee shop 4.30 pm. I will hand in
the registration form and the full timetable, and
payment . Please if its possible, make the payment
with cash or online bank ( 03- 0866-0455161-000) and
put your reference name on it!

Welcome to Janos’ Newsletter Season two Number 6
As winter draws to a close and we look forward to
another great summer, I want to welcome all players to
another successful Ice Hockey Training programme for
2008-2009.
I’ve already started receiving enquiries
and registrations for this year’s intake, so already it
looks like we’re once again going to have a great
programme. The ice slots have already been booked, as
follows:
Under 12’s – One Off-Ice per week, and On-Ice at 5pm
Fridays
Under 16’s – One Off-Ice per week, and On-Ice 12.15pm
Saturdays and Sundays.

This is
open to players from the age of 6 up to 11
years old, and of any ability, on a first
come first severed basis, limited to 20
players only.
On the ice and off the ice to improve your
fitness, skating, stick handling, puck
control, shooting and passing from one of
the best in New Zealand.

.here is the new timetable ,we have only one
change date .The off ice practice at Waltham
Park please bring your hockey stick and
gloves and tennis ball. The all cost is $85
, payment before the first on ice practice.

Who wants to
watch re-runs of Matthew and Marc or Nightline??
Come down to the rink Tuesday nights at
10.30 for
late night practice/games with our very own
coach, Janos Kaszala.
Limited to SNC players up to Grade 5.5 (B Grade
and mid A Grade), this is a great way to upskill
yourself and prepare for next season! We had a
great response to the last block course, and are
starting the next one now. Email Janos at

six weeks, and plenty of ice-time and puck-time!

This will be
holiday program of on ice and off ice training
total of 4 on ice training Sessions at Alpine
Ice and 2 off ice session ( 09.07- 18.07) .
This is open to players from the age of 6 up to
11 years old, and of any ability, on a first
come first severed basis, limited to 20 players
only.
On the ice and off the ice to improve your
fitness, skating, stick handling, puck control,
shooting and passing from one of the best in New
Zealand.
The cost of
this summer camp about $80
( dependence number of the players)
for everything, payable at
registration of

note there will be no charge for goalies wishing
to attend).

continue over winter…
Hi all just
reminder tomorrow will be the next office practice!!
Kaszi to continue over winter…
The Kaszi Hockey Academy will be continuing over the
winter months, with a programme of off-ice
practices, as well as School Holiday classes both on
and off ice.
Starting immediately, there will be weekly off-ice
practices at the Hagley Park– bring –inline skate
and full ice hockey gear. Cost is $45 per player
per 9 weeks. The times are Wednesday 4pm-5pm.
During School Holidays, there will also be a full
programme including 2 times per week of on-ice
practices, as well as office practice. More details
about these will be announced closer to the time.
In this month will be a prize giving and party for
all players who have participated in the Kaszi
Hockey Academy classes over the last few months.
Thank you to all the players and parents who have
supported the Academy for the last few months. I
really look forward to the future and the coming
months.

players, over the winter months.
These practices will help you with all your

Hi, ALL!
I've had a lot of SNC B Grade players ask me for
special coaching and practices over the last few
months, so I'm pleased to announce that the Kaszi

New Timetable
Hi All,
Following on from our last meeting, I'm pleased to
announce the latest block of practices.
The block for the 10-15 year players runs for four
weeks and includes 2 on-ice and 1 off-ice session
each week, giving a total of 12 practices. We have
received some limited sponsorship (unfortunately not
as much as I hoped) which is helping to subsidise
the cost, and I'd like to take the opportunity to
thank Geoff Dench Forklifts for their generous
assistance. The cost per player is $95, up to a
maximum of 25 players. We currently have 21
confirmed starters, so be quick with your
registrations as there are only a few places left.
For the younger Tykes players, there is a five week
block, with 1 on-ice and 1 off-ice per week. We
have also received some sponsorship for this group,
giving a total cost of $65 per player. Again,
almost all places are filled, so be quick if you
haven't already emailed me with your details for
this course.

It is intended to make the meeting brief and
factual.

All,

me back to my house,
(please call me before you coming), or call me when
and where good for the pick up ( also the off ice
t-shirt kaszi22 )! Please ASAP!!!!! My number

Anne and I need the shirts back ASAP as they
need to be washed and then all counted and used
for PDL in a few weeks time. If you didn’t
collect them from the players at the end of the
year, could you please email them all and get
the shirts back. Also, some of the kids have
gear that they borrowed which needs to come back
as well. Can you please ask the parents to put
the gear in a plastic bag with their child’s
name on it and get it back to you so that Anne
can make sure all the gear is back for the next
season. We don’t have a lot of gear, or shirts,
so it is important that we make sure we get it
all back! You can email me when you have
collected it all and I’ll come and pick it up
from your place or the rink.

Training Camp Number 2
Here is the new program, we change back the off ice
time, so the off ice practice on Wednesday!

This will be 2months of on ice and off ice training
consisting of 2 on ice training.
Sessions at Alpine Ice and 1 off ice session held at

Training Camp from Feb 2008

Everyone,
I thinking of doing another training camp from Feb
2008 until the season starts, please can i get your
feedback on this and whether your sons or daughters
will be interested in doing this, cost will be
dependant on numbers but it will be less than this
one, same format 1 on ice 1 off ice session.
The finish party 16/12 Sunday after 4 pm. Please

Can I
ask all parents to supply me with their mobile phone
numbers

We’re still having some
communication problems over the timetable, so I’d like to take the
opportunity to try and fix this problem. Can I ask all parents to supply me
with their mobile phone numbers, and I will text everybody the day before a
practice session to remind them of the details. Also, the timetable that I
sent out to everybody at the beginning of the season is accurate, so please
refer to that if you have a copy. I will distribute hard copies of this
timetable to all of you at the next practice session for those of you who
don’t have email. You can also see the timetable on the Aardwolfs website (www.aardwolfsice.com
– click on the „News” button).
We have also run into some
issues at off-ice practices in bad weather, and I want to let everybody know
that where the weather is really bad, we will be postponing practices. If
you want to know whether the practice will be on, please call Craig
Armstrong on 03 342 4707. I want to reiterate that we will be having a
complete programme of 24 practices, although if this bad weather keeps up
for much longer, this may mean extending our season quite close to
Christmas, or perhaps having 3 or 4 practices a week in November when the
weather should be a bit better! At last Sunday’s off-ice practice, (which
was postponed), I met up with a handful of kids who turned up anyway, and we
had a casual game of scrimmage.
