 Phantoms 0

The first game back all were keen as mustard. The Aardwolfs had a full team back after xmas and injuries and were rearing to go. Big Welcome the our new player picked up in the draft due to low numbers in out team. The game started a little messy but the Aardwolfs soon found their feet after Kushla scored her first goal of the season from an awesome pass in front of the net from Craig A. The Phantoms goalie just quick enough. The second period sure the Aardwolfs take control and score two more goals increasing their lead to 3-0 going into the third, leaving the Phantoms frustrated and struggling. The Aardwolfs sealed the game with a fourth goal from Craig on his own and take the win 4-0.                            Reported by Kushla Proffitt

Games Report Prem Fire

 Rangers 6

Wow! what a scrappy game this was with both teams going for it and the Refs calling everything. The Rangers score two goals early on but the Aardwolfs answered quickly with Nick and Matt crashing the net as the team on a power play made the most of it. Nathan followed suit with goal number two and the game was on. In between all the penalties from both sides, the Aardwolfs score again short-handed to take the lead 3-2 going into the second. It got dirty from then on in with both teams continuing to sit in the box. The Aardwolfs score again with Nick receiving an awesome pass from Blake in front to increase their lead  4-2. The Ranger get one back to go 4-3 into the third behind the Aardwolfs.
The game's intensity increased as the Rangers even the score 4-4 with a penalty shot after being taken out in font of the net. With more penalties on the cards, the score bench was barely keeping up. The game was goal for goal with the Rangers getting more and the Aardwolfs scoring again after Glen came back from a penalty to draw the game 5-5.
The game could have gone either way but in was the Rangers who had the last say and won the game in the last minute of the game. The Aardwolfs running out of time to answer lost 6-5. Reported by Kushla Proffitt

Games Report Prem Ice

Aardwolfs 3

 White Dragons 5

It took Spijkerman from the Dragons 45 seconds to score his first goal, one nil to the Dragons and not a good start for Aardwolfs Ice, his second took a little longer, putting it in, off a rebound from Clive’s shoulder. Clive answered this by scoring one for Ice with an unassisted goal from the wing to finish the period. Spijkerman scored again at the start of the second followed again by Squeak. This time it was Keith who answered with one for the Ice from a beautiful pass from Adam. End of the second 4-2 to the Dragons.
The third started well for Ice with lots of pressure on the Dragons goalie, Clive managed to get one back with a backhander in the top corner once again from an excellent pass from Adam. It was not the Aardwolfs night as they have a goal missed by the Refs, the Dragons goalie pulling it out before the Refs arrival at the goal. Spijkerman got his forth for the night once again touched in by a defending Aardwolf. With two own goals and one for us not counted the final score of 5-3 doesn’t really do the game justice.

Games Report A Thunder

Aardwolfs 4

 Rangers 6
The first game back after the Christmas break an like so many others, Aardwolfs Thunder was a little rusty. The Rangers are first to score, leaving the Aardwolfs trailing 1-0. The game was on in the second with the Rangers increasing their lead with goal number two. This woke the Aardwolfs up who found the net with Ricky scoring from a great pass from Chris. But the Aardwolfs were just warming up and soon added two more to the board with little Dan getting one from an awesome pass off the defence and then quickly after Andrew Smith goes it alone to make it 3-2.Then the Dragons take out Nathan in front of the net giving him a penalty shot. . He shoots and scores, increasing the Aardwolfs lead to 4-2. The Rangers get one back in the last two seconds to go 4-3 into the third with the Aardwolfs in the lead.
The Rangers make a come and take the lead and the game 6-4 with the Aardwolfs just not able to catch them. Tough luck guys, better luck next week.                                           Reported by Kushla Proffitt

Games Report A Lightning

 Silver Dragons 5

First game back after Christmas for the Aardwolfs Lightning and the Players were a bit rusty. With Scotty away in the States, Toby (from the Rangers) was called in for Goalie duty, our thanks also go out to Andrea a new player from the States who also filled in for us. The game started with Keith getting a quick one from out in front, Gareth scored the second assisted by Mark, Keith notched up his second assisted by Martin. End of the first 3-0 to the Aardwolfs. The Dragons come back in the second getting two to the Aardwolfs one, Keith getting his hat trick for the night once again assisted by Martin to end the second 4-2.
The third was a more even period, with the Dragons really putting pressure on the Aardwolfs Goal getting one, Keith and then Aaron assisted by Kat and Ange get two for the Aardwolfs but the Dragons get two in the last 58 seconds leaving the final score at 6-5 to the Aardwolfs. A close game but a win to Aardwolfs Lightning.                                                                                               Reported by Clive Murphie
