Due to lack of numbers once again, Glen (Player/Manager) stepped up to play. It's frustrating as a team manager to have players not ring and say they can't make it.
The game itself was full on from puck drop with both teams hungry for the puck after six weeks off.
The Dragons passing and calling and the Aardwolfs lack there of, had them on the back foot as the Dragons take the lead 1-0 going into the second. But the Aardwolfs fought back in an effort to win, needed to do so and the balance of the season to make the semi's. They drew the game up with an amazing goal through team work, Nik missed, then Vince twisted the puck round for a shot and also missed. Ricky then had a go but missed too deflecting it off the pads for Nik to come back for another go and made it count, awesome to watch. The intensity increased but the Aardwolfs passing was not it's normal, flowing self and the Dragons re-take the lead. The Aardwolfs, not one's to give up, re-tie the game as Nik and Shawn find the net. But the Dragons answered quickly and go 3-2 up into the third, where they put a nail in the coffin scoring two more goals and ending the Aardwolfs chances. Although they scored one more with only seconds on the clock, it was just not enough and the Dragons take the 5-3.      Reported by Kushla Proffitt - (Managers Little Helper)

With the strength of the Aardwolfs front line gone, and the Phantoms on a winning streak, this game was tough. After six weeks off all player came out firing, but it was the Phantoms who score first. Aardwolfs mixed up their lines to try something new, and also played a new player in the hopes that it would help their game. The Phantoms continued their on-slaught with three more goals in the second, but the Aardwolfs never give up and Tim found the net to go 1-4 to the Phantoms into the third. The Phantoms score again but the Aardwolfs were determined and put two more on the board, but it was not enough.
