| This Weeks News: People are talking!!!, this week I contacted the Master’s games people in Timaru confirming teams for the South Island Masters Tournament, I received an email back saying they were expecting us to contact them and to have a good trip down south this weekend!!! I didn’t mention our Migration to them…Then I had a look at the Tekapo Alpine Springs website, there’s curling on this weekend and a hockey game between 8 and 9pm……that’s us…..The Dunedin Ice Hockey site has a note about the Aardwolfs Playing the Beasts and the Ducks, on Monday the 20th. In the news this week: the NZIHL Grand Final is on in Christchurch on Saturday the 8th September at 4.45pm Tickets will be $20 an Adult and $10 per child. The Canterbury Red Devils are playing the Auckland Botany Swarm. Tickets available from s.j.harrop@paradise.net.nz Heard on the Grapevine: two plastic Ice surfaces have been purchased from France and are coming to New Zealand, one is going into Wanaka and the other is heading for Auckland. DJ Dave our foreign correspondent in Canada made an interesting observation over the week, the scale of things is different in Canada, he just sat the Ice Hockey Referee Entrance Exam along with 50 others. We will be playing at the new Tekapo Rink, Queenstown and Dunedin. Deposits will be $135 to secure a seat and $130 about August the 1st. Money to Clive.
- The Aardwolfs will be playing the Beasts a Dunedin Team who are coming to Chch on Friday September the 28th. The game is at 10.30pm-11.45pm, the cost will be $16. · The Ancient and Arthritic Aardwolfs will be playing in this year in the South Island Masters Tournament which is on from Friday 12th to Sunday the 14th October 2007.
